Traditionally organisations have focused on the tasks and activities they want people to do in their jobs. As an example, if the role requires the individual to give presentations it is likely that the organisation will ask prospective recruits to give a presentation. All of which is perfectly logical and sensible.
However, few people leave their jobs (or become dis-engaged) because of their inability to do the tasks they are required to perform. It is more likely there will be dissatisfaction with factors such as career progression, salary & rewards, work-life balance, relationships with colleagues or manager, or something else.
